One entire year of blogging. Where has that year gone? I guess you could say that it has been spent 'expanding my horizons' of sorts.
The horizon has been made up of the countless miles to and from the RE's office, and the time spent toiling in the waiting room with the 'calming' aquarium that mocks me. There are too many ultrasounds to count, an HSG, two surgeries to remove things from my uterus. Eight hopeful procedures to put things back into my uterus. And not to forget the pills and shots; enough bottles and needles to span as far as the eye can see. So many blood draws that my fear of needles is nothing to even blink at any longer. Oh, and the layer of tears. The tears that have put a murky wash over absolutely everything. It is all there.
But also on that same horizon, something that far outweighs the pain - the wonderful and life saving support I have received from so many of you. Without this outlet to vent, rant, weep, and celebrate I am not sure if I would have made it this far. I feel a part of something bigger, not to mention something to be so proud of. While I wouldn't have chosen to have gone down this journey quite as we have, I wonder what my life would be like if it hadn't been enhanced by 'meeting' all of you. You all are an amazing group of individuals who have enough strength to support an entire community. And there is true, unending appreciation to the two of you who introduced me to this world (you know who you are).
So thank you. Thank you for keeping me invested in such a therapeutic venture with your positive and caring words. I can only hope that I return the favor to all of you. A year has now passed, and hopefully the next year is even brighter and more hopeful. For me, and for all of you.
